Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev on Etalk
Covering an award shows from backstage is an interesting affair. Sometimes you catch stars doing stuff they don’t want you seeing (like Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev scarfing down two lemon tarts at once while her rumoured boyfriend and co-star Ian Somerhalder did his best Johnny Depp swagger, following her like a puppy dog)
I’d like to tell my story, to accompany this video. I went to the MMVA red carpet with the sole desire of seeing Nina. Ian would have been a plus, and Kat would have been perfect, but Nina was my real reason for going. I waited sixteen hours to see her, and because of this, it was all worth it.
Nina and Ian’s limo pulled up right in front of where I was standing on the red carpet. It was on commercial break, so they couldn’t get out until the show was back on air. So they were sitting in the limo with the windows shut and waiting. I had brought my TVD Season 1 Blu-Ray to see if I could get it signed, and previous to this I had already gotten Kat to sign it. (I’ll post a picture with that story after)
I was just holding it over the barricade, hoping that if they got out of the limo on my side, they’d see it and sign it for me. Next thing I know, the window is rolling down and Nina calls to me “pass it over! pass it over!” and she’s waving her hand to me, to get me to pass the dvd to her. I leaned over, passed it to her (she was leaning so far over to try and get it!), and then I passed her my marker, and she took it into the limo and she signed it, and passed it to Ian and he signed it too. She then passed it back out to me, Ian blew me a kiss and waved, and then she waved to me.
You can see all of that happen here (Except for Ian’s kiss, which I sadly missed while reaching for the case) But she is honestly amazing. She then rolled up the window and the next second commercial break was off and the show was back on and they got out of the limo.
The entire reason she rolled it down was so that she could take that and sign it for me, because I had brought the disk. It made my entire.. life? I’m so happy. And I just thought I’d share how amazing she is with all of you, as if you don’t already know
